Thunder Bay's Counselling Centre is now a provincial training site. The centre is now one of 15 sites that will take part in a financial literacy program funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The training is being provided to 11 local service providers who work with low income families in Thunder Bay and the region. Local staff will learn how to deliver a financial literacy curriculum that covers subjects from Investing Basics and Income Tax to Debt and Savings.
