Half a million dollars worth of durgs seized

Police have made a major drug bust at Boulevard Lake.  Officials says officers saw a 31 year old man known to be involved in the drug trade walking near the lake last Tuesday.  The man fled police but was quickly found.  Officers found a back pack on the man with half a million dollars worth of cocaine.

City police are looking for a missing girl

Thunder Bay Police are looking for a missing 14 year old girl.  Police say Miranda Ritchie has been missing since Friday after she was dropped of in the Academy Towers area by her Guardian.

Two charged with robbery

Two people are facing charges after the Memorial Avenue Shoppers Drug Mart was robbed on January 4th. Police Spokesperson Chris Adams says officers arrested a 24 year old woman last night and a 26 year old man this morning.  A large quantity of pills was seized as well.  The two are charged with a variety of offences including robbery with threats and possession of a controlled substance.  Adams says officers are still investigating the robberies of Jansen's Pharmacy and the Red River Shopper's Drug Mart and have released a picture of the suspect of the Red River Suspect.

Another armed robbery at a local drug store

No one was hurt in another armed robbery of a drug store.  Police say a woman armed with a syringe made off with some pills after holding up the Memorial Street Shoppers last night just before 6 o'clock.  The robbery followed a similar one December 28 involving a man at the Janzen's Pharmacy in Westfort.

Missing teens found

City Police say two missing 17 year olds are safe. They say that Courtney Kwiah was found in the company of Chrisopther Suganaqueb. They were apparently hiding from police and family.

A man on the most wanted list could be in the city

A man on the RCMP's most wanted list may be in the City. Police say Paul Gallagher was spotted in the city yesterday trying to cash a cheque. Gallagher is wanted on a Canada wide Warrant for Parole Violations. He has a history of Identity theft and a picture can be seen on our news blog.

Police on the lookout for a missing girl

Thunder Bay Police are on the lookout for a missing 12 year old girl.  Shae-Lynn Masik was last seen yesterday evening when she left her house on Rupert Street.  Anyone who has information on her where abouts are asked to call the police.

Cops for Cancer set to go

The 14th annual Cops for Cancer fundraiser is set for May 8th at the Intercity Mall. That's where people get their head shaved and raise money in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.
