Eco-Friendly Transit Hub Open

EcoSuperior and Thunder Bay Transit have officially opened their eco-friendly and cyclist-friendly transit hub. The new transit shelter has a covered area with benches and lighting for city transit passengers, and another shelter for cyclists who want to lock up their bikes, or pump air into their tires. The eco-friendly hub is the first of its kind in the city.

Shaffer on stage at Bluesfest

A Thunder Bay musical legend makes his return to Bluesfest. Despite the poor weather, Paul Shaffer surprised thousands of blues fans at the Waterfront last night and even played a song with Los Lobos. Shaffer was in town visiting family.

Splash Pad Now Open

The attractions at Prince Arthur's Landing are now open for the season. The city has opened up the splash pad from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the summer months.
