Police are hoping that surveillance video of a possible suspect in this weeks Best Western Hotel robbery on West Arthur Street, will lead to an arrest. They say that the staff were injured after they were sprayed with a "chemical agent" . A man got away with some money, but police won't say how much.

Beardy Helps People Get Screened
Ontario Regional Chief Stan Beardy is doing his part to help get more people screened for cancer. His cancer story is in a new cancer awareness video for the Thunder Bay Regional Health Centre. The moral of the video is that a commitment to cancer screening saved Beardy's life because his cancer was caught early.

Police Release Footage
City Police are releasing security camera footage of three young men they would like to talk with. Spokesperson Chris Adams says the footage comes after a vehicle was parked outside of the Target store on February 16th and was spray painted. It is unknown if this occurrence is linked to recent vehicle spray painting incidents in the area.

Another City Mac's Robbery
Thunder Bay police are looking for a man who robbed the Mac's Convenience Store on Waterloo Street at around 6:30 this morning. They say he was brandishing an axe, but that no one was hurt. They say he ran away with a small amount of money.

Break In Video Released
City Police are releasing a video of a break and enter that took place last weekend at Westfort Foods. On January 18th at 4 am the store was entered by a man and cash was stolen from the Frederica Street business. Police believe the break in may be connected to two other commercial break and enters on the City's south side and a similar break and enter to a home on South Franklin.

Break & Enter Video Released
Thunder Bay Police are releasing some video to the public of a September 18th break and enter on Red River Road. They say a man smashed the glass door of a business and proceeded to take the cash register. Police are also investigating eight other similar break and enters to commercial locations in the past 48 hours in the city. It's not known at this time if these incidents are linked.

Police Unveil Domestic Violence Unit
City Police now have a six member domestic violence unit. The local force launched the new initiative this morning and Inspector Sylvie Hauth says the high number of domestic violence calls backs up the need for the new unit. Uniform officers will be the first on the scene of a domestic violence call and if an arrest is made the new unit will be called in to deal with the matter.

robbery on Simpson Street. It shows a man with his face covered and
carrying a knife and appearing to make demands. The suspect made away
with money and cigarettes. No one was hurt.

Viral Video Shows Assault
Dryden Police are investigating an assault at the Dryden McDonalds. The incident was captured on video and immediately went viral on social media. It shows a young man abusing a customer who was sitting down to eat. Police Chief Rob Davis says the incident was reported yesterday night but he believes the attack happened before that day. Davis is asking the public for help to identify who shot the video of the assault or who witnessed the incident. He says they have been able to identify the victim and the accused and notes charges are likely going to be laid.
