No new fires

It was a very quiet weekend in terms of forest fires in Northwestern Ontario. No new fires were reported this weekend, however there are still ten fires burning in the area. So far, there have been 197 fires this year in Northwestern Ontario.

OPP investigate death

The Ontario Provincial Police are looking into the sudden death of a Dryden area man. Dryden OPP say 51-year-old Stanley Shabaquay of Wabigoon Lake First Nation passed away on Thursday. A post mortem was conducted on June 15th and the investigation is continuing.
