Assault With A Weapon Charges Laid

A 28 year old man is to appear in court this morning facing two counts of assault with a weapon. Police say a 23 year old was cut several times in a South ward apartment, over what is believed to be a dispute over drugs. The man was sent to hospital and later released.

In a separate incident, police have a 30 year in custody and is to appear in court this morning facing an assault with a weapon charge. He allegedly refused to pay cab fare and sent the 52 year old driver to hospital, where he was later released.
