Traffic statistics at the Pigeon River Border Crossing are down noticeably. Canada Border Service Agents checked 25-thousand vehicles in the month of May and checked approximately 50-thousand people at the border. Statistics indicate traffic was down 6-percent from a year ago in the month of May. New border laws involving duty allowances did take effect on June 1st.
